This is what a rock concert looks like at the dawn of the metaverse.

WELCOME TO THE METALVERSE

After a 3-year hiatus, Riot Games' chart-topping virtual metal band 'Pentakill' was ready for a comeback tour.  And what better way to re-introduce millions of fans to their favorite virtual band than to have its seven real members play the new concept album live - in real-time - for forty-five minutes of motion-captured musical mayhem?
And to up the ante even more, instead of making their legions of adoring fans just watch (they're gamers, after all!), we invited them to take part in the epic battle between the Gods of Metal and Dissonance on the back of The Wave’s interactive platform. Not a bad gig for a band that doesn’t exist in the real world.

45 MINUTES OF MOTION CAPTURED CHOREOGRAPHY
Captured by 40+ virtual cameras and created by over 70 world-class digital artists and creative technologists, this virtual "gig" in the metaverse was designed to push the limits of what a virtual gig could be with the power of today’s real-time technology.

THE TEASER TRAILER
The stage show featured a dystopian invasion from an evil Sky God; extreme motion-captured realism down to the quivering cymbals on the drums; and 5 surreal stages from a sci-fi mega-arena to the shoulders of a marauding giant.
